"This is my new favorite holiday!" -Matt Ishikawa, 6/20/10


Father's Day this year brought a newfound excitement for the holiday. Not that celebrating our dads and grandfathers wasn't fun before, but being a parent definitely brings new meaning to the day. It wasn't just fun for Matt, it was fun for me too because I got to celebrate the amazing father Matt has become over the past 10 months. I was thinking about making a list of why Leila is lucky to have Matt as her daddy, but then thought, (1)that would take forever, and (2) it would be easier to just say that any qualities you might think of when you think of the best dad you could imagine...that's Matt. Not only is he a great dad, but a great partner in this crazy life of parenthood. Okay, enough sap and onto our great weekend. Coinciding with this fabulous holiday, we had our first family trip to the zoo!
