Firsts and Lasts

This was a weekend of firsts and lasts.

On Saturday we were invited to a birthday party at Gymboree. For those of you out of the loop (or maybe that means you're actually in the loop and I'm out of it...) it's basically a small child's gym/music class place in the mall. It was our first time visiting one of these establishments...and Matt promised it would be his last. Do you remember the description of the Wiggleworms class I had in a previous blog? Well, that was nothing compared to this. This was that class to the 10th power. Over the top happy ladies, chanting, and strange clown characters that only came out after the kids pounded the floor for 5 minutes, yelling his name, "Jimbo." Well, regardless, Leila still had fun, and I had fun watching Matt take it all in.

So excited for the bubbles!

Leila tried some chocolate cake. Surprise! She liked it. Me too.

This Sunday was my first Mother's Day as a mom! And, my first Mother's Day in which I truly understood how grateful we should all be to our moms.

Proud Mommy

My day started out with an extra hour of sleep thanks to my amazing husband! After a leisure morning just hanging out around the house, we ventured out to the burbs for an afternoon of men cooking and everyone adoring my little lady. Do you think she gets enough attention?
