Speeding Through Spring

How it is almost Memorial Day I have no idea!  Where did our spring go?!  Well...as usual we've been very busy just doing our everyday routines, including Leila playing soccer (she loves it!), finally playing outside lots, enjoying getting out and socializing again after a long, long, long winter, and trying to slow down and enjoy all the changes happening in each of the kids.  Leila, is unbelievably about to finish preschool, turning into quite the independent "big kid," and enjoying her blossoming friendships she has made in school this year.  Nathan, is quickly seeming more like a 3 year old than a 2 year old these days, his vocabulary is outstanding, he is making complete sentences and explanations of things, and he is able to actually understand Leila's make believe play enough for them to play things like "princess and witch," "pirates," or their newest favorite, "making food and feeding the animals."  Zoe is changing weekly as she just turned 5 months, and is starting to enjoy hearing her own voice, rolling over a little, watching her siblings wiz around her, drooling, and putting everything in her mouth.  And so, as spring speeds right by, here are some pictures to remind me of what is actually happening!

So excited to be able to grab at things now!

Cutie McCuterton

Enjoying our first bell tower picnic of the year!

The kids made friends with the statues

All ready for her first practice!  Daddy was so sweet and picked out pink everything for her!

A little nervous for her first game...

But so, so, so proud of her, as she went out there with no clue what she was doing and ran around, participated, and proved she is one brave little girl!

I love these moments...

Spider man mask from Uncle Doug and Aunt Kristi.
He insisted on wearing it to the grocery store this day.

Leila, so excited her baby sister is able to sit up with her on the couch now!

A typical Friday, having Costco pizza lunch with my crew.

The girl loves to pout now.  I think she was pouting about not wearing a particular dress this day...

Daddy and Leila napping together

The Mitchells over for a pizza party

These girls get along so well.  I love watching them laugh together.

Happy Easter Sunday!  (Well two out of three ain't bad...)

Enjoying a fruit bouquet from Gigi

One of the many pictures Leila took of Zoe.  (She often loves to do baby photo shoots!)

Like I said...everything in the mouth!

Jumpy time!

Leila at a pool birthday party for her classmate Johanna

Showing off her new Elsa dress that Auntie Lauren had made for her in Thailand.  Such a special surprise!

And Bubba got his own "N" super hero cape from Auntie Lauren.  He is convinced it makes him run faster!

More grabbing and in the mouth by little pippy

Mother's Day Tea at Leila's school.  She decorated a placemat for me and made cupcakes for us to eat.  It was a special time for us both!

In cahoots

Saturday Soccer!

My girls on Mother's Day

What a lucky lady I am!  Happy Mother's Day indeed!

Zoe fell asleep holding her foot...how cute is that?!

Just another day as the littlest Ishikawa...

Now, five months old!!!  And loving those feet!
