Pure Michigan

We just got back from a fantastic family vacation in Michigan with the Ishikawa clan!  We made so many great memories, and surely Leila was living in a constant state of pure joy as she had someone to play with from sunrise (literally) to bedtime.  Natey also had a great time learning how to climb stairs, ride in a wagon, and eat sand.  

The week started off with an exciting day celebrating the engagement of Doug and Kristi!  Doug planned it so we could all be there for a BBQ after he surprised Kristi with a proposal on a nearby beach.  

So happy for Doug and Kristi!

Leila wanted an engagement ring of her own; hers is made from the finest aluminum foil.

The rest of our days were spent fishing, playing at the beach, or swimming in the pool.  I love vacation.
