After nearly losing our minds because Leila stopped sleeping well at night, Matt came up with a brilliant idea (yea, sometimes I give him credit for good ideas) to hang a calendar in Leila's room and fill it with stickers for every night she slept through without crying for us. After ten stickers we would take her to her choice of someplace fun. Her choice? The arcade. It worked like a charm, and this weekend we ventured to the local bowling alley/arcade for some good old fashioned (kinda creepy) fun. Who knew people actually hung out at arcades at 10am...
Driving game with Daddy
Her favorite game...75 cents a try to pick a ball up with a claw. We won, 10 dollars later...
Her winnings: 2 bouncy balls, one huge tennis ball, and a bracelet.
Besides better sleep, we also celebrated Nathan's one month birthday this past week!
He is spending much more time awake these days and getting cuter by the day...
Back to sleep...
We had a great visit with Gigi and Great Gpa. Papa and Nathan got along just fine...
This past weekend we decided to try out grilling in the cold! Here is Leila and Daddy heading out with our steaks...
I feel bad I haven't kept up on my segments of funny things Leila says, but seriously people, there is only so much time in my day! One that does come to mind from this past week was as we were driving somewhere and Matt was using one hand to steer the wheel.
Leila: Daddy, you need to use two hands on the wheel.
Matt: What?! Where did you hear that?
Leila: Me.
Matt: Okay (putting his hands on the wheel)
Leila: There you go Daddy
thanks for the post :) so fun to see lil Nathan growing and Lou lou being as cute as ever :) Char always used to comment on my driving... One time she told me "You know, Lauren. You are supposed to slow down when it's yellow, not speed up."
