It Must Be Summer...

Well besides getting settled in our new house (which is fantastic!), we've been trying to enjoy the hot days of summer that have begun. Spending time at the "beach," eating shaved ice, and finally getting to enjoy our yard...yep, it must be summer!

With the beginning of summer starting last week, I also realized that Leila's 2nd birthday is just around the corner...wow! I feel like, although we've done a lot this year and Leila has changed drastically, it has still gone by ridiculously fast. Last year this time, she wasn't even walking yet, and now she is running around, climbing stairs, talking up a storm, and has a little attitude of her own too. She cracks jokes, sings to songs on the radio, loves to help mommy cook, is obsessed with the computer, and is really great at sharing. She is truly the joy of our lives!

The sinks are low enough at the new house that, with the help of a stool, Leila can stand at the sink to brush her teeth! She is getting so big!




Father's Day was kind of a blur since we were moving in that weekend, but Leila took some time out to give daddy a card. Aren't they too cute?!

In Naperville, there is a huge pool that's more like a beach than a pool. Sand, docks, slides, and more! We had our first family trip there this past weekend...
