Waiting

Well, with one wait over...we found out the newest Ishikawa is going to be a BOY!...our exit from the city has left us still waiting to move into our new house. As we camp out at Ama and Papa Ishi's, spreading our crap from floor to floor, and room to room, we are patiently (well, trying to be patient) waiting for the renovations to be completed on our new house. It is so exciting visiting each day and seeing all the improvements coming together! Leila is already in love with her new yard and even recognizes the neighborhood as we turn off the main road. She'll say, "New home, new home!" as we drive up. I'm hoping that means she will love the place as much as Matt and I already do.

Even though we aren't in our house yet, we have already started enjoying all that the burbs have to offer. From BBQs to kiddie pools, and car washing to lawn mowing, we have had quite a busy week!

The week started with Memorial Day. We spent the afternoon watching Leila splash in her pool...

Later, she showed her patriotism in her cute dress

And enjoyed some corn...

Oh, and Uncle Doug and ice cream too.

The day after Memorial Day, was our big ultrasound! Leila joined us for the appointment and enjoyed seeing pictures of the baby on the big screen. We followed our tradition and had the technician seal an envelope with the baby's sex written inside. Matt and I enjoyed a dinner out and opened our envelope. It read, "It's a Boy!!" and we were overwhelmed with surprise, excitement, and joy. We can't wait to meet our baby boy!

This weekend we were able to enjoy some great summer weather!

Leila helped daddy wash his car...

We spent some time in our new yard while daddy and papa did some yard work. Like I said before, Leila just loves it here!

Lounging in her new backyard chair...
