Leila the Locksmith

Have I mentioned Leila's obsession with keys? Well, she has one, and it's kinda crazy. She wakes up in the morning and asks for keys. We get home from somewhere and she requests the keys before I get a chance to even hang them up. She finishes lunch and asks for keys. In the middle of eating dinner...well you get the point. You may be wondering what in the world a 16 month old would do with keys (oh, and play/kid ones don't work)...well, she puts them in different screws around the house. Be it her toy chest, dresser drawers, highchair, wagon, anything with a screw...if she sees a screw, I see the light go on and she's off looking for her keys. It's hilarious!

Working on her dresser...

Just another afternoon, working so hard to accomplish something with her key...

Thrilled that she got a key to stay in a screw!

If only I had this on video...Leila kept putting my hat on and walking to the door, saying "Bye"...she only actually got the hat on her head once, but mostly it looked something like this...

Besides the hours spent working with keys, we were also busy with cookie parties and football this weekend.

Leila thinks Daddy is crazy for heading out to the Bears/Patriots game in a blizzard.

Watching from our warm home...Leila is disgusted with the Bears' performance.

Trying on Daddy's shoe

The tree never gets old, as she admires it yet again.

  1. Mike loved that you just set her up in front of the TV and force her to watch football. He told me he will do this to his child with Yankees baseball - indoctrinate them early.
