One thing we find to do EVERY day, is play some form of Disney's Frozen movie. Leila is ALWAYS Elsa, I'm usually Anna, and Bubba switches his roles depending on the day. He's a boy of many talents, so he'll sometimes take on the role of a monkey (there is no monkey in the movie, he just likes to be one), a puppy (again, no puppy in the movie), a baby boy (you guessed it, no baby boy in the movie either), or a superhero of some sort (and no, there is no Superman or Batman in Frozen.) So, I guess really he isn't exactly playing Frozen with us, but he thinks he is, and Leila has finally given up trying to make him be a real character in the movie, so there is some amount of peace in the house...which is all I can really ask for, right?
Happy Valentine's Day from the Ishikawa kids! (Clearly, Zoe isn't very excited...)

Her favorite pacifier...seriously.
Crazy, but Leila had her Kindergarten Preview already! After some initial jitters, she loved it! When she came out of the class she said, "Kindergarten is awesome!" As for me, I almost cried as we entered the school...I may need some meds for her actual first day.
When Leila's class celebrated MLK day, she had an assignment to write about her dream...

Check out the fat lip on Bubba. Just as we arrived to the zoo, he tripped, fell, hit his mouth, blood everywhere, and the EMT had to come check him out. Never a dull moment!
