We had a great Halloween this year...even the horrible rainy weather couldn't ruin our fun! In fact, the rain stopped just long enough for us to trick or treat around the neighborhood and bring back enough candy for a family of 20. Leila dressed up as Rapunzel for school and spent the entire day in her costume (although she slowly took off different parts of her outfit as the day went on!) Bubba wanted to dress up all day too, so in his adorable dragon/dinosaur outfit he came with me to watch Leila's school parade, and we all went out to Matt's work for some office trick or treating and lunch. With a short rest before neighborhood trick or treating, the kids were dressed and ready again to beg for candy! Natey really enjoyed himself and keeps talking about "Ha-o-ween" and "twick o tweetin" in hopes that we can do it all over again every day.
On our way to drop Leila off at school...

Then to Daddy's work for trick or treating!
Back with his office haul of candy, hiding from me and his nap time!
Later that evening, we headed out into a light rain for the real deal trick or treating...
So excited by their loot!
It was really fun having both kids excited about the holiday. Bubba spent the whole month of October obsessed with "spooky spiders," skeletons, and bats. Leila loved wearing her long Rapunzel wig and teaching Bubba the ins and outs of trick or treating. Now, it's onto Thanksgiving, Christmas shopping, and the countdown for Baby #3 continues as we are getting his/her room ready and trying to make final decisions on names!
